Just a little problem I've been having...

For some reason, my password expired after 180 days, forcing me to have to change it. But what was worse, was that I had forgotten my previous password, leaving me no other choice but to follow the password recovery procedure. As far as I remember, back in AGN's earlier years, my password would never expire and I only had to change it if I forgot what it was. So why exactly do my passwords keep expiring after a given amount of time? And is anybody else having this problem?

a long time ago I thought it had been deliberately installed to encourage security. However, it hasn't been an issue until now, so maybe not. Maybe I'm thinking of somewhere else.
