What is the best, easiest free web hosting site that can be used for uploading Zelda Classic quests and their screenshots as well as anything else related to Zelda Classic on ZeldaClassic.com?

The instructions for quest submission on ZeldaClassic.com clearly state the following:

"It is the responsibility of the author to provide an online link to the quest and the screenshots for the purposes of this submission. After the quest is added to our database, we will host all the files on our server. For security reasons we cannot allow public uploads."

Because of the hassle over creating and managing a host site that would only be used for uploading quests and their screenshots, I usually do not upload any of my quests on ZeldaClassic.com. However, I will need to in order to provide more exposure for my quests.

I would get a dropbox account with www.dropbox.com.

This device gives you a folder which links directly to a cloud network, allowing you to instantly save or move files to the internet. You can even copy the link straight from windows explorer.

I took your suggestion and uploaded a quest and six screenshots onto ZeldaClassic.com via a Dropbox account, carefully pasting the links to the files themselves. Now it is in the hands of the folks who update ZeldaClassic to add my quest, but the last quests were added last November, so one can only hope that an update is on its way sooner than later.

Don't hold your breath.

ZC.com has halted any further uploads for the time being. Got some stuff that needs to be fixed, and I personally couldn't give you an estimate on when it'll be done. Ctrl-Alt-Delete would totally be all over dat shit though. ;0

By all means, submit to your heart's content. It'll give us stuff to do once everything is ready to go again. Just don't expect it to show up on a page any time soon.

Sorry about the delay. We are currently in the process of completing a new website that allows users to upload the quests themselves. Unfortunately, no new content can be added so that the old database can be transferred to the new site without error.

By all means don't wait for the database to be up! Share your quests here on the forums! We are all eager for the new database but the whole zc.com site is being remodeled and that takes time. That is no reason to hold off on sharing quests. Many people visit the ZC forums and never post or even register.
