My wife gave me a Fender acoustic/electric guitar for my birthday. I'm pretty excited. I've wanted to learn to play guitar for years, but I never wanted to spend the money to buy one. I learned a few chords today, and as long as I keep it up, I'm sure I can learn pretty quickly. I'm a fast learner. I learned how to play the drums in about 6 months, but this seems like it'll be a bit harder. If I ever get to the point where I can play and sing at the same time, I'll post videos so you can make fun of me.

Guitar is tough to start out, mainly because it feels like you just suck and aren't making progress.

In 6 months to a year, things will click and you'll start sounding better. It all comes down to practice.
