How to launch the Linux version?

Okay so, I have no idea how to use the Linux version. What do I do to actually be able to launch ZC, ZQ, Z-Launch, etc.? I'm on Ubuntu 12.04. If this is already axplained somewhere, could someone just link me there?

right-click the executable, change its permissions ("allow running as executable" or something like that), then just ... run it. No magic needed.
