If you've ever had any experience with older MMOs such as Ragnarok Online, you're going to know what I'm talking about.
Players are going to feel screwed over and want to abandon their characters whenever necessary balance changes to the stat formulas go out.
The same applies for newbies who don't understand the implications of where they are spending their points as they gain early levels, especially if the stat formulas are not publicized.
I think there should be a respec feature for status points, and it can be either for pay (with the cost determined by character level), or on a timer (such as once per week per character).
