...that I keep forgetting about or ignoring for the past year or two. Check this out:

Ever wonder why a bunch of random threads spread across seemingly random forums over the last couple of years have a thread rating of 5 stars, while others don't? (ie; zc bug threads is the most hilarious.) It's because any thread that I reply to since the forum upgrade get's automatically set to that. Presumably because I am so awesome that vbulletin simply cannot process so much awesome at one time.

So, starting now, you may send me $5 via paypal and I will reply to your thread, guaranteed, or your money back. But wait, that's not all. For the first 50 callers I'll also include a one-of-a-kind hand-crafted ASCII artwork at the end of each post. I call this one "the birdy".

Step 1. Click Go Advanced to reply to this thread.
Step 2. Find "Rate."

Is it checkmarked? If Yes, go to step 3. If No, go to step 6.

Step 3. Uncheck it.
Step 4. Reply.
Step 5. Repeat from Step 1.
Step 6. Reply telling me that it is not checkmarked.

Thread's not rated. I think you have a stalker that really likes any time you post.

I hope it's not Kathy Bates. But seriously, I have confirmed this by trying to rate previous threads. I get the message that I've already rated this thread, even though I have not. ...I don't know.

I have noticed a lot of threads lately do this lately though I've never noticed that it does it when Gleeok post?
Hmm... I guess someone likes Gleeok's post?

(test reply)

Seriously weird. Go look at the first couple of pages in any forum and you can see it.

[edit] lol. I swear I didn't just rate this thread. :P

Okay I'll admit that is strange on how its doing that. XD I guess the forum has a soul and it really likes Gleeok :P

Can't find anything. I defer to DarkDragon.

Damn and I thought someone liked some of the threads I had started lol.

Beats me. :odd:

Do you have any browser features or plugins enabled, like page prefetching, that might automatically visit the rating link?
Saffith, do you have the same problem?

Yes, I'm seeing it, too. It's not Go Advanced that does it, but Preview Post.
I have JavaScript and plugins disabled, and I doubt any extensions are doing anything here.

So the ratings appear if you hit Go Advanced->Preview Post? Or do you then also have to actually post something?

Can anyone else reproduce?

I usually have javascript disabled also. I believe this was the case when the rating got added to the thread. Also, I hardly ever "go advanced", so that's not it.

I don't recall previewing any posts in this thread either.

...Could it be the ZC Developer user group? Saffith and Gleeok are the only members I've seen in that category. Maybe a test member placed in that group would produce similar results.

The testing123 post was placed in the Developer group. Didn't rate it.
