My gosh. First k'nex, now lego. I WANT TO BUILD SOMETHING LIKE THIS. ;_; I wonder if anyone's used this stuff to make an actual, working game, like has been done with k'nex?

I was really hoping someone would have put a certain song known as "Powerhouse" onto the ball machine video... (skip to :58)

That tune would be perfect with it, too.

600 hours. That's 25 straight days. That's dedication.

I remember having a big K'nex crane or something, but nothing as epic as this.

I'd like the point out that this one might be the alpha compared to the Legos. (It does have bigger balls.)

The Lego one has much more charm, and is a lot more aesthetically pleasing.

Yeah, I have to agree with Master here..... although I'm not sure what "aesthetically" means (will look it up) xD.
The K'nex Ball Machine is too compacted, cramped to really see how it works, you can't follow one ball directly to it's destination (as far as I can tell). Which makes it (however brilliantly constructed) harder to appreciate imo.
Although one could say that is a reason for a better appreciation.

I agree that the Lego one has more charm. I like it better, but the K'nex one is just super impressive. I'm a big fan of any machine like this. They're just really fun to watch.

Awesome! Legos have gotten much more sophisticated than when I was a kid. I used to build stuff with mainly the rectangular and plank looking peices. lol :P

[edit] Holy shit. Apparently that took like 3 months of 8-hour workdays to build. O_o
