Silk Road (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silk_Road_%28marketplace%29)

How come I've never heard of this before? I wonder how they ship, I want to buy some shrooms. :-p

I'm even too afraid of clicking that link. I imagine the cops immediately coming in full force to my house, with a SWAT team fastrope descending into my house as soon as I even attempt to look it up. :)

My guess is they send it through the regular mail. Silk Road goes through TOR so as long as you are smart they can't track you through the site. How you go about paying is a different story. With money there is always a trail. The biggest risk would be cops getting a hold of evidence of the transaction. If they can connect it to your bank account you're screwed. Use a prepaid Visa bought with cash. How can you know if you are buying from a dealer or a cop? Another would be the package passes by a drug dog and it's got your address on it. You can deny that you ordered it. They COULD get a warrant to seize your computer and try and connect you to the sale but if you were smart there should be no evidence on your PC. I doubt they would go through the effort though. Especially for a personal amount of drugs with no guarantee of evidence. It is possible to do without the popo catching on and if they do getting away with it by lack of evidence. But I would be careful. Being charged, even without evidence, can stay on your record for years after the case is dropped making things like finding a job and renting a place difficult.

If you try it remember:

TOR
TrueCrypt
'Nix Live CD or Virtual Machine
Prepaid Visa bought with cash (wear hoodie and sunglasses most as stores sync transactions with surveillance video)
Never save any sensitive data unencrypted
Never admit to anything to anyone
Have clean record
cross your fingers, toes, and do lots of kegels just in case.

This post is for informative purposes only. I do not condone illegal activity. If you try to use silk road and get busted it's your dumb-ass's fault and I will not be held liable for your dumb-fuckery.

It's just a wikipedia article on the site itself. I don't think CAD would post the actual link to the place. :P

It's just a link to Wikipedia. Discussing illegal things isn't illegal, posting links to them is.

For the record, I would never really use it. Just found it interesting.

They use Bitcoin, which is anonymous and very hard to trace if you know what you're doing.

I don't know much about how they deal with the other issues, but I'm sure they've got their ways. It wouldn't be so successful if it were easy to infiltrate or intercept.

When I googled, there were examples of it being sent through USPS. Sketchy.

Read about this a while ago. Very interesting.
There is also an equivalent for machine guns and such. Welcome to 2012, and America.
This is what the future is all about.

I thought about this website earlier today, and got to wondering if it is possible to buy people on it, specifically those that were kidnapped, drugged, and sold into the sex slave industry.
If so, then there's a real 4chan bust for you. They could even possibly bring those people home.

Buyers and sellers conduct all transactions with bitcoins,
Haaaaahahahahahahaaha

Oh man. Gotta love bitcoins.

This sounds really silly, but hey, I got to give them props for a historically awesome domain name.
