It is interesting, but I'm a little confused as to what it is exactly. My first thought was a new Galaxy game, but I wondered why 2.5 and not 3. Googling it gets me their web site, which is just a forum and has no explanations. Is this a fan made game? Is it an editor, like ZC? One site says it's a hack an requires a Galaxy 2 disk to run. So what's the deal?

This. There are also major hacks for Brawl, New Super Mario Bros, and Mario Kart.

Oh, that's just awesome! :D I knew there were hacks of NSMBWii, Brawl, and MKWii, but this is actually the first I've seen of a decent hack of SMG2. :) I'll have to keep an eye on this for sure. Thanks c-a-d!!

I really need to get Galaxy 2. :(

I wasn't all that impressed with Galaxy, it was fun, but pretty overrated. Especially some of the missions. The bubble missions, for example. And the surfing. And the marble balancing. Well that last one is incredibly awesome, but the others are like... what are they thinking making these. The surfing is at least rooted in surfing from Super Mario 64 and Sunshine, but it can still go die because it was terrible. The bubble thing... why is it even here.

So yeah, hoping Galaxy 2 was better, and this actually does look really awesome and makes me wish I had Galaxy 2 now.

Galaxy 2 is WAY better, trust me. The first game was good when it came out, but IMO 2 made it look badly outdated.

Yeah, I also thought Galaxy 2 was much better than the first.

Galaxy 2.5 looks really fun, especially with Bob-Omb Battle field. I might have to install it now.
