...and say, "farewell," to a pioneer of mind expansion and an innovator of sound appreciation. Owsley Stanley (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Owsley_Stanley) died from an auto accident in Australia on the thirteenth of this month.
Known as "Bear", Stanley was the chemist mixing up the electricity for Ken Kesey's acid tests of the sixties. We was also the main financier of the Grateful Dead and sound engineer, responsible for creating the "wall of sound" and exploring the possibilities of electrified noise.
