View Full Version : Buggy passageway in my dungeon (v 2.10)

Hello,

As the title says, I need help to fix a bug in a dungeon passageway. I'm using ZQuest 2.10.

The first time Link goes through the passageway, everything is normal.

On the other hand, there are two problems when Link tries to take the passageway back to where he was before.

1: A blue rupee appears at the top left of the screen. Neither of the two rooms the passageway connects has a blue rupee in it, so I really don't know where it comes from or how to remove it.

2: This is less problematic, but I would still like to fix it if possible. Link invariably enters the passageway screen from the right. I know he should normally enter from a different direction, depending on which way he is going.

If that helps, the first stairway appears when blowing the whistle, and the second stairway is on screen from the start. Apart from this, I believe both of them are set up in the exact same way, so I don't know why only one of them is giving me trouble.

Try seeing if there is a secret item set to either of the rooms to which the passageway connects. Also, you can't really fix the passageway directon thing, and it's really not that big of a deal. I never worried about it when making my quests.

I agree the direction is not a big deal.

But the blue rupee just sitting there is weird.

There are secret items in both rooms, both of which appear when all enemies have been defeated. They aren't a blue rupee however, they are respectively the dungeon's compass and a heart container.

Heh, try going down to room 81 on that map to see if the passageway itself has an item set to it.

Nope :(

The rupee does appear in the designated spot though (that is: 0,0 by default).

Thanks, I'll make an edited version of the quest so that you can enter the dungeon and the problematic area immediately, then I'll upload it somewhere.
