I'm thinking, if i can accomplish, I'd like to make a "zelda-Ecco the dolphin" combo hybrid

that is, make zelda style'ed ecco themed game

what I'm looking to ask for, is the super overkill tileset making
sprite replacement. I'm told you can make multiple maps.
(well, zbuild needs to load first, launcher can do that right?)

is this possible? what are limitations? right now I'm only trying to play the zelda2 remake. so I'm not playing anything right now that can show me, to what extent I can replace sprites. how to import, and a proper way to make a sheet.

player cannot be any longer than this? or the mechanics will be confusing?

I'm not really familiar with Ecco the Dolphin, but there are more possibilities of the movements. When I had made that, I chose the Original style so that it'd be easy to show. You can use some other styles, some were 3 tile movements (121312131213... order of tile animations) and some up to 9 tiles of animation (123456789 23456789 234...).

I'm not sure what you mean about "player can not be longer than this?"

I think he is talking about making Link's tiles more than 16x16. If so, then yes. they can be up to 32x32.

It can be any of the following, from my knowledge: 16x16, 16x32, 32x32, 32x16.

ah ok. when it is 32x16, it really will be that size?
