What do you prefer? Google Chrome or Mozilla

I love my Google chrome! But my friend told me now that you can also change the Firefox theme, and that Firefox had more than Google chrome themes. For me both browsers are lightning fast but I need to compare and see which one is better to use. Any suggestions

I prefer Firefox overall, but I have Chrome installed and use it occasionally.

Chrome, of course. I have no experience with Firefox so it is not so much a preference of the two but I do not like IE.

Chrome. Opera got slow and buggy after one of their updates so i moved on to Firefox but had problems with lockups and website malfs. I don't use IE because I like my browsers to run not crash. So I guess I gotta put up with Google keeping track of all the porn I look up. It helps them with marketing, y'know!

The only thing holding me to Firefox is a particular Greasemonkey script that makes playing Kingdom of Loathing more bearable. Everything else that held me to Firefox is available in Chrome.

IE 9 looks hot and has HTML 5 GPU acceleration. It'll have all of the HTML standards support of Firefox and it will be faster.

Chrome has great HTML 5 support and is faster than Firefox, even the betas of Firefox 4.

Firefox had agitated me a bit lately with ridiculous memory usage, and I'm likely switching to Chrome soon. I want to see what Firefox 4 brings to the table first.

Chrome seems to take nearly as much memory as Firefox does, at least on my computers.

Safari :P It's the best-running browser on my mac, and it's gotten much more customizable over the years.

If you don't like the memory consumption Firefox 3.xx uses then be warned that version 3.6.6 introduced sand boxing plugins which means more memory is needed per tab that uses a plugin. (It might only be Flash that is affected by the 3.6.6 update and not all plugins in general)

I use Chrome, and one thing I like about it, is that if one tab crashes, it's just that one tab that needs to close. I don't know if FF, has this, but it didn't when I switched.

I prefer Firefox (I use beta 8) mainly because it has some extensions that I use that are better than what Chrome's extensions can do. The thing I don't like about FF is its long startup time.

Chrome's performance is great though and I do use it from time to time.

Can someone explain the use of extensions for me? I can look it up, and probably will in a few minutes, but conversation is slow around here. Is it a useful feature for the average surfer?

Extensions generally add new features or functions to the browser.

My most essential extension on any browser is a flash blocker. ClickToFlash does well for me on Safari, and I use something similar, though I don't know what it's called, on Chrome on my work computer. It replaces any flash element on a page with a blank box, and you can right-click it to allow it to play, add the site to a whitelist, etc. My browsers crash a lot less now.

Actually just (finally) upgraded to Firefox 5 (4.1) on Linux. Having come from 3.6, I'm noticing quite a difference. Very snappy.

I use Chrome, just because it's easy to boot up to look for pages real quick then close out. Firefox takes a bit to boot on my computer. This is possibly the worst reason ever but that's probably why.

One little thing I like about Chrome is you can highlight text, right-click, and search for the highlighted text. I use that little shortcut all the time. Don't know if the others do it, I switched to Chrome when Opera failed me.
