It's kitchen demolition time! I'm taking apart my kitchen countertop so I can fix water damage behind where the sink was. I got the tile and mortar off, and now I've got to pry up some of the wooden beams so I can fully get to the wall. Then it will be time to cut apart some old drywall and replace a couple of wall studs. I'm going to replace the countertop with cheap laminate. That way if something goes wrong and I have to go back in there again I won't be out too much money.

Anybody else here done any major home repair work?

I got my rood done a couple months ago, and now we're looking to new doors and a fence for the back yard. We need to redo our kitchen, but we have bigger fish to fry before getting to that. We have cheap laminate shit in our kitchen, and I'll tell you what, its not worth it. It was brand new from the previous owners when we moved in in December, and its already peeling and it looks terrible.
