Just a quickie before I head to bed...

Could you guys recommend a decent piece of software for playing DVDs on my PC, like PowerDVD? Only I've just found that the last one I used caused my PC to automatically restart if I tried to load it. Which is a bit of a bugger.

With the exception of PowerDVD 9 (which I tried a while back and didn't like at all), any suggestions?

VLC or Media Player Classic are both good. For MPC you'll want to install the K-Lite codec pack but VLC will work right off the bat.

I have both, and will use VLC in the interim. Ideally I'm after the sort of software you have to pay for though. Something like TotalMedia Theater 3. (But not that one - that the one that makes my PC reset)

Try Ahead Nero Media Player? I use it and it plays DVD discs fine and dandy.

Not sure, I think it does and you use the mouse to select things. Isn't there a demo? I don't have it installed at the moment so I can't really confirm it.
