What are the bold bits talking about? I am using a brand new "save game" file so it shouldn't be opening any quest files or anything.

I don't know franpa. It's searching for the official quests. Try and remove 2cd quest and see what happens. ;)

Presumably it must then be storing these quests in the zc.sav file right? might be a format/layout requirement for zc.sav at the moment.

I don't know the exact process of why that weird little ritual happens when a save file is constructed but there's probably a good reason for it. DN can probably tell you.

It's opening 1st.qst, I believe.

Is it tied in with the fact that when creating a new character, it finishes by automatically loading 1 of 3 quests for that character slot?
