I have a little gift for you all. First off watch this as proof it works.

Ok this is ZC 1.90 for the Nintendo Wii. You will need the following.

Requirements
The Homebrew Channel
SD Card
USB Keybaord
A brain

Do not ask me how to get The Homebrew Channel. Just google it!

Download
http://www.deviance.shardstorm.com/downloads/zcwii.rar
This includes all the needed files to get the Zelda Classic Player to run. Do not ask about Zquest. I have no plans on it.
Also Read the readme file included.

Special Thanks to
The person who ported dosbox. ;)

Notes
Always keep checking on this thread. I may make a few updates to it.

As neat as this is, it's gonna cause a land slide of people posting "can i has zc on ds or psp lololol".

Any plans for making it playable with the Wiimote NES style, or the Classic controller? That would be cool.

I doubt the classic controller will work with it. I'm using a patch on ZC 1.90 to get it to run since cwsdpmi just crashes it. Also 2.10 and 2.50 is a no go.

It's one of the greatest releases for the Wii so far, even it needs some more work and accesoires than most Wii apps.
Thanks for it!

But it would be just awesome if there would be a native version for it, which works with classic controller or NES style. Probably it would help to contact the author tantric (http://wiibrew.org/wiki/User:Tantric), who ported a lot stuff to the wii.
What do you think? Probably he can help to port ZC 2.10 or 2.5, too.

Hmm, a shame, that nearly nobody is answering in the interesting topics.
Is there interest in contacting one of the wii devs to do a real port? I would do it, if I am allowed to do.

We would never be able to do a full port of it. Why? Allegro and memory allocations. I've tried to get 2.10 to run but it just refused to.

Huy People. There are few complications with the port or memory or something. I'll get it fixed after some days. See you around.

hi guys, very cool stuff... thanks Deviance

any chance of patching the latest version of dosbox-wii 1.4 to get this to run? I only ask because anyone who updates IOS58 for USB2 support will no longer be able to use their USB devices on apps that do not take advantage of IOS58, such as in the case of dosbox-wii versions prior to 1.4 (please correct me if i am wrong)

thanks

I just now had noticed this. This is pretty cool progress! (Even though I'm almost 9 months on noticing). I may have seen it before, but always figured it was a "Can we get ZC on ****" instead of actually "Beginning steps of getting ZC on Wii".

Does anybody know, where I can find it?
