Zelda is a no go.

I am running XP Pro.
3.8 hrz chip.
1 gig ram,
SP-3

When I click on the link to launch Zelda, I get the "Have encountered a problem and must close."
I open the advanced link on the error message and the first thing I see is:

Error signature
AppName: zelda-w.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: zelda-w.exe
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 00071a51
Can anyone help me with this?

What version of Zelda Classic are you trying to run?

I have tried all of them. 2.10 and 1.90, 1.84
all with the same results.

Ok, I found the problem. The short cut was for the large screen and it would not work.
I set it at the small screen (about 5x5 inches) and it works. Kind of small but I guess I can handle it.

Try adding this to the shortcut:

-windowed -res 640 480 big

This should give it a playable size.
