Yeah, there's more crashes around, this time on the tile selection screen in ZQ. It seems that whenever I'm doing a lot of moving/copying/pasting/overlaying of 8-bit tiles (which I'm doing tons of right now, since its an 8-bit tileset), ZQ likes to randomly crash on me. I can't pinpoint anything else that could be causing them, but they've been happening for about a month or so now. It usually gets as far as me hitting the key, then crashes, and you never see the resulting changes from the operation. I tried getting it to recover from it with the debugger like I used to be able to do with the tooltip crashes, but this one won't either, and its caused me to have to redo quite a bit of stuff several times already. I'm in large windowed mode by the way, and yes, its still XP.

This series of events caused the last crash I got: (yes its a lot to go through, but I can't reliably reproduce it very quickly or easily for some reason)
------------------------------
Opened ZQ

Opened my quest file (originally came from a totally blank quest file I created way back. That blank file reports as 2.11 (18) in ZQ) However, the file I opened to work on was last saved in 1004.

Pressed T (goto tile editor the quick way)

Pressed G and opened another tileset (saved in build 987 I think by the way), and grabbed an 8-bit tile from it into tile 109.

Edited/recolored that tile, then made 4 copies of it side by side covering tiles 109/112

Copied tile 109 above itself, in 89, and edited it, then made a second copy of 109 in 90, and edited it

Edited 89, and overlayed it onto 110

Did the same two more times and overlayed the edited 89 onto 111 the first time and 112 the second

Selected and copied 109-112 into 113-116

Edited tile 90 and overlayed it onto 113-116

Saved the quest just in case it decides to crap out again, then went straight back into the tile editor with T

Selected 89-90 and deleted those, since they were just used as scratch space

Selected and moved 109-116 to 1340-1347

Grabbed another 8-bit tile from the same other file into 1348 and edited it

Copied it to 1368, then using 1348, copied that tile into 1349-1351

Edited 1368, then overlayed it onto 1349

Repeated two more times, overlaying it onto 1350 and 1351

Deleted 1368 (scratch space again)

Grabbed yet another 8-bit tile to 1352 and edited it

Copied 1352 to 1372, then copied 1352 to 1353 and 1354 using 1352 to as the source both times

Attempted to copy 1352 to 1355

*CRASH* (The copied tile never showed up in 1355 after the crash)

Debugger reports:
Unhandled exception at 0x0be28780 in zquest-w.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x0c7c8000.

Attempting to continue just kept spewing that error repeatedly, and breaking and starting again didn't help either like it did with the tooltip crashes.

This was the resulting screen when the crash happened:

Hope that all helps with figuring this one out. It also likes to crash when doing moves and overlays sometimes as well, and only with 8-bit tiles. All the non-8-bit stuff I've worked on has never crashed out ZQ.

Does this still occur?
