anyone have a walkthrough, I'm stuck in the first dungeon

There is no walkthrough, but if you could tell us where specifically you are stuck, we can definitely help you out.

yeah... ok, so I have a key, but the ony two rooms that are still locked are over a chasm, so i'm assuming i need either the ladder or the whisle, but i can't find either. I've been through every room except for the ones in the top right corner

Try bombing some walls, look for telltale cracks in the center of a few sidewalls and bomb those. Furthermore, you can grab a second key from under a statue at the entrance if you haven't already received that one.
