I know that the guy is incredibly smart and all, but being that I never got into physics I'm not sure of all that he did. Regardless of that though, hope he comes though all right.

I didn't realize until reading the article that he had ALS and that's what had left him the way he currently is. You're right, he's had a rough life, and hopefully meant to keep going so he kind find all kinds of other stuff of importance.

Well, I guess everyone's gotta go eventually. I do hope he pulls through, though. My God - he's lived 40 years with ALS, many times the average lifespan of someone diagnosed with the disease.

And this article says he was diagnosed at 21 with ALS. 21... 23? Eh, doesn't matter so much now. It's still a long time to live past the 2-3 years given by all to live with the disease anyhow.

dude, Stephen hawking is probably gonna live long enough to get implanted into a robotic body, and live for a very long time afterwards. At least I hope so.

Apparently, Stephen Hawking is expected to make a full recovery, which is great news. Seems to me that he's already got a robotic body - at least, he seems indestructible enough.
