Since it's getting very little attention over at PureZC, I figured I'd announce it here as well. This is (hopefully) going to be the first ever Star Fox game made in ZC. It is going to be a sequel to the original Star Fox, so it's not going to follow the 64/Adventures/Assault/Command storyline, although it will include some ideas from 64, but only if they originated in Star Fox 2 (Star Wolf, for example).

Basic story: About 3 years after the events that occurred in "Star Fox", it is discovered that Dr. Andross is not dead. He returns to get his revenge on the Cornerian government and the Star Fox team. Fox hires 2 new team members to help him defeat Andross: Brennan Poe and Miyu Lynx. To combat them, Andross has hired a group of mercenaries to take out the Star Fox team: Wolf O'Donnell, Leon Powalski, and Pigma Dengar of the Star Wolf team. The CDF (Cornerian Defense Force) is offering a huge monetary reward to whoever can stop Andross and Star Wolf. So as expected, Fox is the first one to offer to help. But what are his real reasons for wanting to go after Andross?

Hmm. Now that I read it, it kinda sounds like Star Fox 64 with 2 new characters. Whatever, what do you want from me? It's gonna be the first game of its kind in ZC. The game's not gonna consist of Arwing missions only. There are going to be quite a few on-foot missions as well.

If anyone wants to help out at all, please, feel free to say so! So many scripts are gonna need to be made. I've gotten (most?) of the Arwing-related scripts done, but enemy graphics and movement scripts are still much needed.

Some examples of the scripts that are currently in the game:
The Arwing's movement is controlled with a scripts, and the blaster is also scripted, and is intertwined with the Arwing's FFC. The starfield also animates, in case you were wondering, with the use of scripting.

Probably not for a while. A ton and a half of scripting, graphic work, story work, voice acting, etc. is gonna need to be done before I can get a respectable demo out. I mean, I guess I can have simple demos where all you can do is move around and shoot some enemies, but that's not a whole lot of fun.

...Sweeeeeet. Lemme know when you got a demo up. I'd like to give this a spin.

Might gimme a reason to re-install ZC.

I've gotten a few more scripts done. Now, you can use Nova/Smart Bombs, and destroy a couple enemies. The enemies still don't have any movement patterns yet though. So while I'm working on getting movement scripts and more enemy graphics done, I'm gonna start recruiting voice actors/actresses.

If anyone would like to do voice acting for the game, post a sample here, or else PM me with one if you don't want to make it public. At this time, the priorities regarding character voices are Fox, Andross, General Pepper, and a narrator. At some point though, I'll also need voices for Peppy, Falco, Slippy, Brennan, Miyu, Wolf, Leon, Pigma, and... Probably James too, but I'm not sure if he's actually going to appear in the game yet.
