I'm running v2.10 but the sound doesent work. How do I fix it?
Should I be running a different version? If so, will the v2.10 quests run on that as well?

Go into your volume control and make sure the 'SW Synth' is turned up to full.

2.10.2 is better than 2.10.
And if you wanted to, testing the lastest betas just by playing through 2.10 quests would be great; they're meant to be completely backwards compatible. You might end up getting half-way through and finding a bug which stops you finishing the game though, which I can imagine would be quite the dissapointment.
