Did anyone ever play this SNES game? I play games *mostly* based off the character art. This really caught my eye. I've replicated every possible sketch for it, and dug out magic markers yesterday to make it look perfect. The original art is right http://www.zee-3.com/pickfordbros/archive/plok.php here.

WRONG.

I played it. A friend of mine bought it when it came out, oh so long ago.

:D Gotta love the hero. He goes on an enemy murdering rampage for a FLAG. XD

I remember it was in a Nintendo Power once, but I was kind of bored with platformers. Also I suck at platformers.

I looks like a solid game. I'll have to give it a try sometime since SNES is my favorite system.

It was a pretty good game, with one fatal flaw: it had no save mechanism. So you had to play through the whole thing in one sitting. What's more, continues forced you to go back several levels.
As you can imagine though, this issue is fixed if you play on an emulator and use save states. I enjoyed playing it this way, though I never did make it all the way through. One of the levels in the flea pit (the last area of the game) pissed me off too much so I never got past it. One of my favorite things about the game was the bosses. One of the bosses was four floating guys who dropped magic on you. To damage them, you had to hit switches that caused spikes to come out of the hills in the background, which would deflate them temporarily so you could run over to them and hit them.

It's a good game. On Thursday, I spent like 4 hours reproducing the artwork for it. It came out perfect. And there was a level called Fleapit? That was the title of a Plok arcade game than never made it through.

I thought maybe you were making an enhanced modern version of the game

The game is good, but the collision detection is too er, accurate for this fast paced game... I just find it annoying o_o

I played the game once after renting it and never got the chance to play it again since then. Pretty decent game though. :kitty:
