Unemployment across the nations that share the euro has risen again to its highest level in more than two years, as more firms laid off staff.

The eurozone unemployment rate totalled 8.2% in January, according to the latest official European Union data.
Interesting stuff. Looks like the unemployment rate in Europe is about 8.2%, while in the US it's only 7.6% (http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.nr0.htm). Not bad, considering that during the height of the Great Depression the US hit 21.7%.

This doesn't really surprise me. Europe doesn't have nearly as many natural resources as the US does for the population. People in the midwest are still farming, and making a pretty decent profit at it.
