Let's go around the table and share our opinions of television's saddest moments.

I teared up a little when Ben died on Scrubs. I really like people with that kind of attitude, and they like to do that thing where they let you think everything worked out fine, but they "pull back the curtain," and in reality, ... ... you're just trying to mask the terrible truth that's been laid out for you to accept.

Here's the Long (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgK9ow4OBO8) and Short (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rirPLLYBys&feature=related) versions of it.

The last moments of "Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen", which is the series finale of M.A.S.H. Every time I see it, I choke up. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjeAKrmu1o0&feature=related)

There is another moment from MASH, where they announce that Henry Blake's plane crashed and he died. I can't find a video of it, but yeah same effect.

At the end of the first season of 24, when jack's wife died. That was pretty sad.

I almost never tear up. Which is why I was surprised when it happened to me on Lost.
Anyone who's seen the season one episode where Lock flashbacks to the time he met his real father...and then at the end when he's driving and he pulls over...

...I hate dissapointmant. It's the one emotion that I would eradicate if I could; being built up and then torn down. Man, that episode got to me.

The final episode of Dinosaurs - utterly depressing ending. I mean, the family just sitting there freezing to death at the end? I still can't believe they did that.

Oh, and the episode of Futurama with Fry's dog. You know, where Fry's convinced that his dog went on without him, and then there's the flashback to the past where Fry's dog waited patiently for Fry to come back every day until he died.

I think that was probably my next choice, Fry's Dog. :shakeno: That was just hard hittingly intense...

OH yeah, Fry's dog. I felt like I could cry, if I wasn't so manly. That was very touching and sad.

The final episode of the TV series Babylon 5. Paul and I have watched and rewatched the series MANY times (matter of fact we're on season 1 episode 11 as I type this post). I've only watched the final episode the very first time it was aired... and I cried so hard I could hardly breath.

Paul laughs at me that I refuse to watch that last episode again. I suppose it is rather ... childish... maybe. But because that show is my most favorite and I really got into the show... eh... I'm tearing up even thinking about it.

Me so silly <lol>

Edit: Oh and Bel... I agree with you about M.A.S.H

I dunno, theres alot of sad moments that have occured on tv, wouldn't say they made me almost cry but were still moving.

One of my favorite shows is Smallville. Its about Clark Kent before he becomes Superman. For the 100th episode they had Clark's father Johnathon Kent die. That was a pretty sad episode, along with the one after that which showed Clark dealing with it.

Then there was the end of House's last season or the one before last, where Wilson's girlfriend is killed in a bus accident.
