Mt Redoubt, about 106 miles SW of Anchorage, started acting weird about a week ago I guess.
Pretty exciting shit. I just read about it this morning, and although it's pretty much died down by now it's still pretty cool. We're far enough away (Fairbanks) so the least we would get is some tremors and a light fall of ash.
I've never been anywhere near a volcano that's active like this! I know there are active volcanos in Hawaii and what not, are there any of you living near one? What's it like? Do you have 'volcano drills' at school and shit?
