i'm sucking balls at this game. i looked at all the walkthroughs and for some reason they arn't helping at all. the places i'm supposed to put my bombs don't exist, nothing they tell me to do is on the map! is zelda classic not the same setup as the original or something?

What quest are you actually playing? 1st quest?

Well, nothing should have changed as far as I know. Have you been able to find any bombable walls?

not yet, there's only one area that even matches the walkthrough and i couldn't get any walls to break

What version are you using?

Are the walls you're trying to bomb on the overworld or in a dungeon?

I had similar problems before. You have to be very precise where you put the bombs.

i'm using Zelda Classic v2.10 - Windows Version
the wall is in the overworld and i've bombed every centimeter of that area. i don't think the wall is my problem though, the tutorial map and the game map arn't matching

Look at this map to see if there is another area that looks like the one you're trying to bomb

apparently naming my character "zelda" automatically starts the second quest =O that's probably what was going on

Yessir, that would be the problem. ;]

I think using the name "Alpha" gives you the 3rd quest (but I'm not 100% sure).

Yes, typing "Alpha" as your name allows you to play 3rd quest immediately.

is there a way to play this in window mode?

Yessir, do this:

Create a shortcut for Zelda Classic, right click properties, and add this tag to the end:

C:\zc2102wl\zelda-w.exe -res 512 448 big -windowed
