Well, CastChaos is online more at Purezc.com. You'll have a better chance of reaching him there.

But I can answer some of those questions.

He used 2.10. He's just very good with making fancy stuff with it.

As for the enemies, most of them, he just went to the tile page and changed what they looked like. Others (like the giant octorok in the field) are nothing more than combos with flags set on them (in the case of the octorok, a bomb flag) to make them disapper when an item is used on them.
