Too true. And they didn't used to be that way. Although, in their defense, Microsoft played the whole "casual, family and old people friendly" angle for years and nearly drove Apple out before Apple beat them at their own game, so jokes on them I guess...
I mean, you can't deny that back in the 90s, and even now, Microsoft had next to no standards on what hardware they would let Windows run on.
As long as it was cheap enough for Mom to buy Timmy a computer to write emails to Grandma on.

Is it possible that I don't have a lot of time to fuck around with my computer? As I said, I need my computer to do relatively few things; anything else is icing on the cake. I purchased this laptop because my school was offering them to my freshman class at a discount, along with a ton of software that I could really use (such as music notation programs, etc.)

My computer does what I want it to do. If I need more, I'll research it and get more. Not everyone needs to be a computer-elitist.

There's a mac zealot in one of my classes that never shuts the fuck up about how great macs are. According to him, "they can run everything a PC can run", and to prove his point, he tried firing up Counter Strike: Source with Parallels with terrible lag, weird fonts, and poor performance. Then he asks how to switch weapons. I told him he can't without a scroll wheel and 2nd mouse button. :P

Anyway, I don't mean to bash Macs, I'm only bashing that retarded kid with a Mac.

I have a second mouse button, I just have to press Ctrl first. On the mouse that I have, it's one "button" but there's a left and right side.

I could run FruityLoops, but I'd have to install Windows, and I don't really want to do that, because I hate Windows. I don't need to run new games because I don't play a lot of games, and those that I do play are from a while back, because that's what I want to play.
