We couldn't just keep it religious and forget about the commercialization. Noooo way. That'd be too easy, and much more meaningful. Instead, I'm stuck online looking for any ideas. I've found some baby toy for my nephew and a drill for my dad, and that's about it. I can't think of anything to get for my brothers or my mom, and so I'm just getting frustrated by it all.

Has anyone finished, btw?

Lawl, Christmas. I don't celebrate Christmas. Yay me!

I have a tradition for Christmas shopping.

Go on the 24th.

Christmas shopping is a lot easier when you have a time limit. I fully expect to keep this tradition this year, too. (I MIGHT go on the 23rd just to see what it's like...)

I like how you chastise people for not keeping it religious and concentrating on commercialization, and then in the same paragraph lament that you have to buy your Christmas gifts online.

I have quite a bit of my shopping done, but what do you get for your 80 y/o grandfather? I am just out of ideas. I will probably run around a bit a day or two before Christmas myself, I am sure.

I have one more thing to buy for my son, some $45 race track that he wants... the camcorder for my dad, the one I want is like, $100 plus however much for the memory card... and I think that's it. Some money for my grandparents, too.

I bought a few DVDs for the family to share in florida.

And the R4 for my mom still hasn't arrived. I guess it's gonna be a mother's day gift then...

I got my family peace of mind for the hard times to come in this floundering and unsure economy.

And a book called Hard Times by Studs Terkel.

Finished last week. Helps that I only have to buy gifts for two people. That's one benefit of having no brothers or sisters.

Gift giving in my family has basically become buying stuff for each other during the day-after sales. Makes it so very easy

When in doubt, buy booze. I'm getting my dad a nice bottle of rum.

You should make him homemade alcohol. That way it comes straight from the heart. ;] And then he can go blind or die…
