Shortly there will be a new quest added to the databse of Zeldaclassic. The name is, as mentioned in the title, "Legend of Zelda 1.5 Final". There have been many changes and there's a new special dungeon in this final version, along with one more heart container to get (now the limit is 16 instead of 15). The passive subscreen has been altered to make the heart containers fit perfectly. Item locations have changed at many places, enemies have changed as well at nearly all of the dungeon rooms. It's really worth a second try, I hope. :) I've had my great fun, Janine too.

Most Important Features

- Ten Custom Colored Dungeons (All From Scratch)
- Overworld Created Completely From Scratch
- New & Enhanced Enemies
- New & Enhanced Items
- Swimming Now Possible
- New Item Drop Sets (Based On Enemy Difficulty)

Important: Since there might be updates, it's recommended to download the QST file also from this link here: http://wr2.vfusion.de/Lotz/zelda15.qst

Wow, I can't wait to play this quest. Hopefully the database will be updated soon.

The limit was 16 before. In any case, enjoy your fun. You have until ZQDX comes out.

I mean, in the old version of LOZ 1.5 (my and Jane's version), we had 15 HC's as the limit. Now we've adapted to 16 HC's like the original Zelda was.

PS: The quest is now in the database, enjoy. :)

Which beta is required for this particular quest...the same one as before(819) or a more recent one?

I'm playing it in version 906 and it's working fine for me. I'm looking for a shop that sells the big bombs. I've already finished level 3 and I found a wall that can't be bombed with regular bombs.

Thanks in advance,

In the quest upload we wrote Build 910, butt apparently it works with earlier versions as well. However, we'd strongly recommend to not play it with the same version as the last quest release since the special items sometimes didn't work and re-appeared instead of keeping vanished after being collected once.

@ Lady of Zelda (lolies): The super bomb shop is under a green bush. You surely got the blue candle in Level 2, so you can now burn a certain bush in the upper half of the screen when you enter the first desert area with the orange Leevers (it's also written in the help documentary). :)

@ Everyone: There is a very slightly updated version of the quest - you can keep using your old savegames with no problems at all - concerning the item drop sets. Stalfos 3 somehow didn't drop anything ... now they do. And there's something else (I wouldn't upload a new version just because of one small thing): I've given the bosses custom item drop sets (higher bomb ammo than usual enemies or higher arrow ammo or whatever they're specialised in). Dungeon bosses, such as Gleeoks and so on, get another special drop set, so they can even drop 20 or at a very slight change even 50 rupees (really only the major bosses at the end of a dungeon). That should help you keeping enough arrows and bombs without having to walk around the map bothering to get new stuff, same goes for the money.

Since I don't wanna disturb the administration of the forum because of such a minor update, I'll give you the direct DL link now here as well. --> http://wr2.vfusion.de/Lotz/zelda15.qst

Thanks Matt. I haven't downloaded the help document so I guess it's time I do. Great quest as usual

Enjoyed this final version of the quest...much less grinding necessary to save up the necessary money for items(my main nitpick with the initial release). Goriya4s remain evil.

Yeah, Digdoggers are quite fun to beat now, if you can get 20 or even 50 (very slim chance though) rupees or 30 bombs or 30 arrows (good for re-filling once you have the bigger bomb bags and quivers). ;)

Goriya-4's are now only in Level 9, same with Darknut-4's. :)

Okay, two weeks have passed and I found some locked doors which got locked twice, so if you opened them on one side, it was still locked on the other (how strange that is), so I've just opened the other side by default and only locked them from the side which you had to open from the correct side. :)

Also, I've slightly altered Level 8 to make it more difficult to find Level 9 ... also, since there've been these changes and some other minor tweaks as well, I've decided to remove the documentary from my server since it would take hours to update all these small texts again. Instead, since you're all really advanced Zelda gamers, you should beat this quest with ease anyway. ^^

Greetings, Matt.

PS: The direct download has been reposted on the top post.

Meh ... this happens when you're not concentrated ... I uploaded the exact wrong version, haha. The version I intended to upload yesterday is NOW online under the link I posted in the first post yesterday.

You can keep playing with your old savegames, don't worry! All you have to do is replacing the previous QST file in your game directory. Have fun! :)

Could someone reupload the file. The link is dead, and I can't access it from the database either.

That is the new link of Zelda 1.5 Deluxe which has replaced Zelda 1.5 Final actually. Thanks for playing my quest! Maybe one day I might even see a let's play of it on Youtube, haha, but as long as FRAPS can't record my Zelda Classic application, I won't be able to do a let's play myself.
