View Full Version : Help! (Mac user)

I went to shardstorm like it said and I downloaded the game. It would bounce in my dashboard for a few seconds then stop. So I downloaded an older version, I went back pretty far and all of them did the same thing, some just wouldn't open others would give me an error message.
I played this when I use to have windows, it is really fun and I REALLY would like to play it again. Everything I tried hasn't worked, please help!

I have a Macbook with an OS X 10.5.5.

Same thing, it bounces for a second but never loads up.

Does this happen with both the game engine and with the quest editor? Can you open allegro.log and post the contents here? If you don't see allegro.log in your folder after running one of the programs, you may have to do a "View Package Contents" on one of the applications and dig around in there for the file. Also, I'm fairly certain that you can't run the applications directly from the archive. You have to extract everything to a new folder.

I am not at my normal computer, but I will be in 3 or so hours. I apologize for taking so long to respond, as soon as I get home I will try the link you sent me Wolfman2000, and Dark Nation I can tell you now that quest editor does open. As soon as I get home I will post the contents of the allegro.log.

The newer mac builds don't work on Tiger for me either. Both the game and editor bounce a few times in the dock and then stop.

The newer builds will not work in Tiger. I am working on it. I repeat TIGER is NOT supported by the latest build. I need Tiger to work on it. So. Patience.
