"Jurassic Park" author and "ER" creator Michael Crichton died Tuesday at age 66, according to a statement from his family.

nonononononono...no

there...there are still stories he had to tell...books he had to write...a man of his level of talent can't just up and die in the middle of his prime...this means no more new Crichton books to look forward to...

Sad, but I think this makes us think about how life is not about the beginning and the ending but what's goes on in between. Sure, we'd have liked to have had more great books by him. On the same token though, wouldn't we have liked more from Shakespeare or Sir Arthur Conan Doyle? Basically I think we need to focus on his life and not his death.
