First Despair swamp screen I've ever done! I think I'll actually try to keep this in the game somewhere...

Bet you weren't expecting a desert-with-oasis shot!

I don't think an area with so much water qualifies as a desert. :P

Good enough for me. I'm not just wild about the purple water.
Good screens by everybody.
Crap! if I had known that what I call a rock wall would be ok for the mountains.......I would have made one.
As far as I can tell in the tileset I'm using there aren't any mountains.
I did import some mtn. tiles but I haven't figured out how to use them and make it look right.
Wow, this worked out a lot better than I thought! Those screens are all amazing! And they're all unique, yet all look like the original! Impressive.
It's a close call, but I think I'm voting for Joe this time. Congrats to everybody though, wonderful work!
Wait, I have to get another classic shot to use for the next competition. *Opens Zquest*

Voted for Plissken. That swamp shot is just pure win. :)
Okay, I have a classic shot ready for the next contest. Should I just post it here, or should we create a new topic?
Oh, and in case you're wondering, Sharon's shot is closest to what I was invisioning when I made that shot. Although, surprisingle, none of the five shots are much like I envisioned it. Just goes to show why I love classic. So many interpetations.

lol the desert with tons of water haha

Is an oasis impossible. A desert can have a river you know. It just has to have less than a certain amount of rainfall to be a desert.

Hmm. Nice turn out. Plissken's is pretty sweet. I can see why it is winning. If I didn't enter, I would have voted for him.
Sharon's is pretty cool too. It is second in my book. I like the simplistic look of a well done pure shot. The only thing I can say is the dead GB trees kind clash with the simply look of everything else. They seem too detailed for being so small.
I like the desert, and tox_von's is okay. I think I'm the only one who kept the grass if that is not dirt in tox_von's shot.

It is entirely possible, just kind of ironic.
But anyway, pic related:

And yes, I'd assume this is the best place to post the shot for next week Russ.
Here's next week's shot.

This one should have plenty of different interpetations.

I'll be entering something next week. I finished, like, half the screen so far.
Ooh, I guess I'll try a "wasteland" screen. Hrm...

Oh, it's been another week already?
I didn't get round to making anything >_<
Yup, I made something dark and gloomy, with rain on top! I've been waiting for my first entry for a whole week.
