I believe this is one of the signs of the apocalypse, truly.
There are quite a few clips of this thing on youtube...all of which are commercials, it seems. From what read here (http://www.crunchgear.com/2008/10/08/augmented-reality-the-tuttuki-bako-box-needs-your-finger-to-play-with-virtual-characters/), this goofy-ass thing hasn't even been released yet...they're just pimping it.
It appears that this is Bandai's next generation of the Tamagotchi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamagotchi). Tamagotchis made me point and laugh when i first saw someone dicking with their stupid little "virtual pet". The first time I see anyone messing with one of these things, I may cry.
This is sad.
The advert, however, is pure genius...innocent looking asian girl sticking her finger into a mystery box with trepidation, then near-orgasmic pleasure...makes you want to buy whatever the hell they're selling. :sb:
