Due to declining interest in SotW, we've decided to spice ourselves up a bit, differentiate from PureZC. Here's the idea presented by Russadwan:
Today, Monday, I'm posting a shot made in the classic tileset given by Russadwan.
Rather than come up with brand new screens, entrants remake the shot in any tileset they want and put their own creative flair on it, so long as the overall layout is pretty close to the same. Other than that, standard SotW rules apply.
PM them to SotW, and we'll post them next Monday for voting, as well as a shot for the next week, ad infinitum.

Without further ado, this weeks shot...

Let us know what you think, and send us your entries!

I don't love the idea, but I'll make a shot anyway. *opens ZQuest*

Well, I created the screen that's being used, so you could say I've already entered. :)

But, I think I'll try to remake it.

I actually really liked this idea, so I submitted something. Keeps the basic design but completely changes the environment and other aspects. I'm very much looking forward to this. :D

I just PMed to SotW, hope that's good enough, or should I PM it to everyone like you guys had us doing before? (I was just going off the first post)

My screen's done. Would this be considered SotW 22?

Good, because you inspired it. In Pure ZC's SotW, you remade Angeal's Pure shot with PTUX. That gave me the idea for this. :)

How close are we meant to stick to the original?

I don't think they'll be too pissy if there's some deviation, as putting your own creative spin on it is the entire point, no?

So long as the basic layout (Water at the bottom, with a waterfall leading down from a mountain into it, bridge over the water, cliffs in upper-right and lower-left corners) it should be fine.

Hrm ok.
Wouldn't make much sense if it had to be exactly the same I suppose.

Basic layout. Just keep the water at bottom, waterfall of mountain at top left, and mountains at right. The whole point is to see how different people can interpet how the same screenshot.

I didn't keep the water exclusive to the bottom, but I think it still works.

wow those are very specific guidelines...

Not that it's a bad idea, but doesn't it kind of defeat the purpose of showing off your own work? I bet less people will be inclined to remake some random shot as they would be to simply take a shot of their own.

Oh well, I'll enter to see how it works.

EDIT: Submitted.

simply take a shot of their own.

I don't have any Z1 shots of my own.

I meant people are more likely to want to submit a shot from their own quest as opposed to remaking a random screenshot.

Ohhh
Well we've tried that and it started to fizzle out.
This idea is new and exciting!

I'm willing to try it. SotW is a cool idea. Hopefully this works out :o

Is SotW going to be posted today?

Surely it'd be boring if SotW were actually posted on a Monday?
