Does anyone know of, or are you subscribed to, any cool podcasts? Preferably audio ones. I'm already sick of the music on my iPod (not sick of it, just listened to it too much)... I recently came across a hilarious podcast called "Sick and Wrong" and was wondering if anyone here subscribed to anything cool that I could listen to while I'm working? Any suggestions?

Thanks kids.

As lame as it sounds, you can get some really cool interviews and stories from the NPR website. (National Public Radio)

I recently discovered podcasts too and the top list of podcasts on the itunes store menu is actually a pretty good list. These are the ones I've liked the best thus far.

Things You Should Know: 20 minute blurbs by the guys who do How Stuff is Made on the discovery channel. They do a wide variety of topics, but most are pretty general and educational. How do Tibetans avoid altitude sickness, how to live off the grid, can you erase your identity, just a random assortment of fun things to learn.
Irish & Celtic radio: If you like any music of this style, this podcast is great. Lot's of quality music, hour long programs at a time.
Ricky Gervais Show: Writer of the original office, pretty amusing show.
This American Life: Only listened to one episode, but wasn't half bad. Classic radio show with authors or actors reading stories to the host commenting between them.
Real Time with Bill Maher: He's funny occasionally, but his audience is annoying.

Those are the ones I've been downloading lately. The NPR ones I've actually listened to now and then, but the podcasts are a great way to catch up.

Oh yeah, This American Life is great. Very relaxing.

Things You Should Know sounds awesome. I'll have to look for it.

That doesn't sound lame at all.

I tend to listen to the BBC's podcasts (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/podcasts/directory/station/worldservice/), myself (World Service edition).

NPR's Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me! (http://www.npr.org/templates/rundowns/rundown.php?prgId=35) is a funny radio quiz show that also exists in podcast form.

Wait Wait has like, the best category for a quiz game ever;
"Things you would have learned in school had you been paying attention."

Heh, cool, nice to know I'm not the only public radio fan around here.

That's really strange...that's also a category from another NPR quiz show called "Micheal Feldman's Whaddya Know? (http://notmuch.com/)" It's one of my favorite NPR shows. I wonder which started using it first?

You'd be surprised who listens to public radio. ;)

All three are indeed available as podcasts. The links to each are on the respective websites.
