Since I have an Xbox now,

what can I do with it? Since they're pretty cheap now, I'm looking into actually modding something. What would be my options for doing that?

And aside from that, I got the following games:

You can add a new larger harddisk to it. Great if you store movies, music, or games on it. You can play Xbox games off the HDD and they will load faster. You can use cheat codes in games as well. Also you can use it as a Media Player to play DivX movies and such on your TV. Very handy. You can ofcourse also download a ton of emulators for systems ranging from NES all the way to the N64 and PS1.

I recommend installing a modchip, however it is possible to "soft mod" systems. I installed the X-Chip with a solderless adapter. Installation was a breeze.
