Today I bought one of these. (http://www.ibanez.com/EG/guitar.aspx?m=RG350DX).

I ordered it from American Musical Supply. I got an AMAZING deal. This guitar normally lists for $530 and I paid $289 with free shipping and no taxes.

I am so excited. I've been wanting to get a modern "shred" rock guitar for a while, with a floyd rose style tremelo system. I'm positively giddy and I can't wait to get this sweet, delicious piece of hardware in my hands.

Also, I recorded a new song. You can check it out at my myspace page. (http://www.myspace.com/forrestkyle) Warning: It's like 8 minutes long and contains like 12 guitar solos. :evil:

Oh hell, why not. The last song you put up on MySpace ended up on my iPod. :p

Dude.

It's so killer. ... ... But I keep hearing doorbells in the song. Very deceptive, lol.

Niiice. I recently bought myself an electric guitar. A Yamaha; and the cheepest model available… 'Cause I'm kinda poor, and I don't even know how to play. It's for learning. O;

Thats a sweet guitar Bel. I'm not too fond of the color though but what ever. If you don't mind me asking, what is the advantage to having jumbo frets?

I like the colour. I'd rather have a pure white guitar than black & white like the one I have.

Supposedly it's more conducive to shred guitar playing in that you don't have to push down as hard to get the same sound and vibrato as with regular frets. This allows you to increase speed and complexity without having to sacrifice tonal quality per note.

I don't know how much of a difference it really makes. As far as I can tell, it just makes the guitar feel a little bit different. Personally, I can play just as fast on a classic Les Paul as I can on these "shred" machines. It's just a different feel.
