Action Doom II: Urban Brawl

Wow, just discovered this, and I've gotta say, it's friggin' awesome. Basically, it's a brawler game made with the Doom engine - it's all original material, so you don't have to own Doom to play it. But wow - the graphics, the story, the gameplay - it's amazing what they managed to do with the Doom engine. Like any brawler, there are plenty of weapons you can pick up and fight with. There are also multiple paths and multiple endings. Just totally blew me away.

If that was true, then it would work in DOOM or DOOM II. It will not work in them though because it uses additional script features found in A particular Source Port.

Quit being a pedantic faggot, source ports share enough similar characteristics that they can still be considered the 'doom engine' in most people's books, including mine (which should be good enough for anyone).

Anyway, if you like these sorts of total conversions on the doom engine, you might want to take a look at Sonic Robo Blast 2 (http://www.srb2.org/). Not quite as polished as either Action Doom, but still pretty damn fun.
