ZC keeps crashing on startup.

Every time I try to start ZC, I get this error.

zelda-w.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I have no idea why this is happening, ZC has worked fine for me in the past.

Please help!

I tried both 2.10, and the version before that.
Both give the same effect.

I'm really clueless on why this is happening, as I said, I've used many versions of ZC, included 2.10.

I've known of ZC for years now.

First time this has happened.

Do you use Vista? If that's the case, you'll have to download an alpha build from Shardstorm.com to get ZC to work.

By the way, does your name have anything to do with the game EarthBound. If so, then we share a common interest.

Nope, I'm got Xp.

Yep, Earthbound is still my favorite game of all time.
Can't wait for the Mother 3 Fan translation to be done, only a few more months!

First, is you are using XP, I don't know what worng. See if one of the alpha builds works.

Second, I too love EarthBound. Best RPG ever. And I too can't wait for the Mother 3 translation.

Where could I get an Alpha version at? Other part of the forums?

Just an extra bit, when I try to start ZC, I see the outline of the program, the window opening for just a splint second, not sure that helps.

Well seems build 842 works.
Now I can finally play that new Metroid Quest, main reason I tried ZC again.

Though I still would like to know the stable 2.10 doesn't work, maybe it was new Xp updates?

Reading thru the forums, others are having the same problem as me, but it looks ike no one has any idea why it's happening.

Well I think I fixed my program, I downloaded 2.10.2 with the beta ZC Launcher.

It works if I use the ZC lancher, but not if I try 2.10.2 without the Launcher, it's pretty weird.
