How about a 5th drawing mode? In addition to Default, Relational, Dungeon, Carving, & Combo Allias, we should have "Free-Form Combo Allias". What this does is show all your Free-Form Combos as thumbnails to the right of your screen. You can then delete, copy, paste, move, and edit your FFC rather easily.

When you click on a space in the play screen itself, a white box appears highlighting EXACTLY wherever you click and shows its coordinates...including in between combo spaces. If you were to right click this space, an option appears for you to click:

-Insert Free-Form Combo: Takes the first "empty" FFC (FFC with Tile 0) and places it here and then brings up the FFC editor for you to choose the graphic/combo, x speed, y speed, etc., with the X & Y coordinates of this spot already in place.

Also, in this mode, if you were to click on a space already occupied by a FFC, it would display that FFC's x & y coordinates, x & y speed/acceleration, it's combo type, and so forth at the bottom. You can then use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move that FFC one pixel at a time to get it precisely where you want it and the x & y coordinates would update as you do so.

You can right click this FFC and a menu pops up:

-Delete Free-Form Combo: Removes the FFC completely, making its tile 0 and setting all the data to 0.
-Edit Free-Form Combo: Keeps the FFC at its location but brings up the editor where you can change its graphics & X & Y speed/acceleration.

Also, if you right click on a thumbnail on the right, a pop-up menu appears saying Copy, Paste, Move, Delete, Insert, Edit. The Move option allows you to move/cut whichever FFC is in your clipboard. It moves it to a different FFC number slot (for reordering purposes) without actually moving the location of the FFC on the screen. Insert allows you to insert a new FFC at that location and moves the present FFC and all other FFC to the right of it up by one slot (and deletes FFC 255). If you select Edit from this menu (or just double-click), it would bring up the editor for that FFC. So, rather than right-clicking a spot on the play screen and selecting "Insert FFC", you could just edit an empty thumbnail and set its X & Y coordinates and other data from there.

The suggestions subforum is closed! Deliberately posting suggestions in the wrong subforum won't do you any good.

(Not that it's a bad idea, mind.)
