If you haven't heard about it, the Gametap website describes it like this:

"Once upon a time, fairy tales were valuable cautionary yarns filled with dire warnings and sage advice. However, over time, the stories have become so watered down with cute woodland creatures and happy endings that they have lost their true meaning and purpose. No more! Happily Ever After ends now!"

The first episode is free to download July 31st (today) only here. (http://www.gametap.com/play/gameDetails/131005050)

Edit: Well, apparently it's still available for download. I don't know for how long though.

Free! Yay! I'll give it a go - I enjoyed Alice.

Random side note - the spellchecker on Firefox didn't have the word 'yay' in it. Or 'Firefox'.

I really dislike American McGee's fairy tale ideas. It got old back in the 90's.

Everyone here's probably seen this one, but...

Truth be told, I did enjoy playing Alice, but only because it was a nice 3rd person application of the Quake III engine. The actual content I found silly.

Agreed about the silliness, but then I like that in a game. Truth be told, I just like good platformers, period. Thanks for the pA cartoon - I was actually reading the trade paperbacks the other day and it's mentioned in there (but obviously not shown), so it's good timing.

Grimm is... it's messed up. It's also very difficult to describe. Thankfully, these guys (http://www.gamesradar.com/pc/american-mcgees-grimm/review/american-mcgees-grimm/a-20080730124716901064/g-20070518144624946088) already did it, so I don't have to.
