Changing String text color

So I looked around, found the Misc.Colors and tried changing the Text colors to something else. However, when I tested my game (and yes, I saved the changes) the string text was still white just like always.

How do I change the string text color? FYI I'm using v2.10.

Taken from the ZCwiki:
\1\X\X - Text Colour. Changes the following text to a certain colour. Argument 1 is the CSet, and argument 2 is the colour within that CSet. The text in the Preview Pane changes to reflect the addition and modification of this Control Code.
However I don't think you can change the text color in 2.10, I've only tried in 2.50.
