Newbie w/ question

I downloaded ZC v2.10 for Windows and it wouldn't run after I installed it on my pc. Can anyone explain why that may be? I'm not too knowledgeable w/ pc's so there might be something I haven't checked or something that should be common sense that I don't know.

It's very likely that you don't have the right version of Windows.

Zelda Classic 2.10 was made mostly for Windows XP, so it might not work in a newer version and it's very difficult, if possible to run 2.10 on Vista (http://armageddongames.net/forums/showthread.php?t=103261).

But there are newer versions of Zelda Classic (http://shardstorm.com/), which others suggest. Although many people advise to first use a stabler build (http://armageddongames.net/forums/showthread.php?t=102914) like 2.10 or even 1.90 to make the ZQuest, and add on with these alphas, backing-up your quest to make sure that your work doesn't get erased.

There is of course, the Mac versions and Linux versions on Shardstorm (http://shardstorm.com/). if you're not a PC (Windows) user.

As far as I know, 2.11 builds are the only versions that work on Vista, assuming that you have Vista. ;)

There have been some people reporting that 2.10 will work with Vista if you right click the file/icon and run it as an administrator. You can try that but if it doesn't work, one of the alpha builds is probably your best bet.
