Fair warning, the audio clips presented in this post are not good for people that don't like obscenity, if you get fired for blaring them please let me know so I can laugh.

Recently, someone noticed one of my posts (http://www.armageddongames.net/forums/showpost.php?p=1183939&postcount=28) and decided it was worth a "bad" reputation report based on the excellent reason "*snickers* MC Hawking wannabe...."

He's referring to a segment from track 2 of MC Hawking (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MC_Hawking)'s album, E = MC Hawking. After laying down some rhymes speaking out against creationism, the Hawk-man declares that if the creationists want to have that kind of party, he's going to put his dick in the mashed potatoes:

I believe the disdain was misguided, though. My first encounter with this particular quote was on the Beastie Boys' album Ill Communication, on the track B-boys Makin' with the Freak-Freak. Towards the middle of the song, the beat stops for a sample from some comedy routine in which the comedian states, "If this [is] going to be that kind of party I'm sticking my dick in the mashed potatoes!" Petty reputation games aside, I've always wondered where this quote came from. It was pretty funny when I first heard it, and I'd love to hear more from the comedian as I figure he probably came up with more than one funny line. I've searched the internet several times over the past few years, and haven't ever come upon a reliable answer to the question, "Who is this a sample of?" I've found lots of posts that attribute it to Redd Fox, but I'm really skeptical that this is the originator. Redd Foxx has, as far as I can tell, a much deeper voice than the person in the sample. I've never found a post where someone says, "Redd Foxx says it on this album, here's a 30-second sample so you can hear it," or even a voice sample from Redd Foxx that sounds similar.

Can anyone tell me who said this, and on what recording I can find it?

Finally, at long last, you can rest easy, knowing the origin of that sample.
