So, this video is supposedly a collection of the ten best cartoon theme songs from the 80s, but it doesn't include Transformers. Wtf. Anyway, I mainly am posting it to draw attention to how amazing these shows themselves were. Impressively, I hadn't heard of most of them, but wow—Dinosaucers. Holy fucking shit.

I love the fucking 80's. I watched Dinosaucers at least once or twice as a kid.

Every single one of these shows is brain meltingly bad ass. Todays cartoons SUCK compared to this. Every single theme song is power 80's music that makes you want to punch someone's face in, but in a good way.

80's cartoons made you want to save the universe. Modern cartoons make kids want to hold hands and cooperate in their efforst to understand each other's culture. Blech.

I long for the days when it was common knowledge that all you needed to save the world was rock music, a super power and/or a huge gun that turned into a spaceship.

This collection needs GIJoe, He-Man: Masters of the Universe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Transformers, and probably a few more I'm forgetting.

I'm watching the 90's one right now. What a trip down memory lane. I was watching the opening to Tailspin and in my head I remembered that right after played Dark Wing Duck and the following opening was DWD. AMAZING!

EDIT: Holy fuck I forgot pokemon was made in the 90's. Man that intro has made me fall in love with it all over again.

the movie is pretty awesome, but the episodes are so short, there is no story >.> they are all just heman comes along and pwns the enemy in 30 seconds.

Of all of those, I only remember Dinosaucers (one of my fav 80s cartoons of all time) and sadly Jem which I remember watching once out of boredem when all that was on at that time of day was afternoon news/opera. :sweat:

Now I wanna watch Dinosaucers so bad...dammit....

Everything else was serious business. I'm surprised at just how well made those shows are, and the almost complete lack of fan service sex appeal was refreshing. I want to join the Lightning League.

He-Man is a freaking badass. Of course he pounds the enemy in only 30 seconds. There is no need for anything other than that. Anything else would just take away from his amazing badassiness.
