AlttP Cave Set: Love' em or hate' em?

So.. Until recently, I thought the AlttP caves were just awesome. That was until I tried to use them to actually do something. I found them to be cumbersome, and difficult to use. Especially if you use both levels one the same screen.

So, my question is, do you like the AlttP caves, or do you absolutely despise them? I like the way they look, but I don't think I'd ever use them in my own quest.

Using them sucks. But I don't think they look so good anyway.

They're decent. But I agree that anything to complicated is absolutely impossible. Just basic caves with 2 or 3 rooms are best I've decided.

Because no matter how you use them, they still look like a mob of 3-year olds decided to cut off their own body parts and superglue them to the wall, and paint it a nasty brown afterwards?

They're a royal pain in the arse to use. I'd rather stick with GB caves than those. Or the MC caves. Essentially, anything than those.

Unless you are making a square room with only one of the two levels there are tiles for, it can get messy. I just don't think they work out too well with ZC's resolution. If you have two levels, that is at least four tiles for each side dedicated to the walls alone. It leaves very little room considering screens are 16x10.5 screens :/

LttP is my favorite game ever. The caves look cool, but they suck to use.
