Just heard about it on the news. You'll be missed. I'll never forget his role as Rufus in the Bill and Ted Movies that were set in my hometown.

ugh, this hit me hard in the gut. Very painful and sad.

I was a huge, HUGE George Carlin fan.

Truly sad day. Carlin rocked. I saw him in concert with CK and Benjy (our best friend)...back in the day(1996?). I've never laughed as hard since then.

Damn. I think Carlin is one of those people that intellectually, you knew he'd die one day, but emotionally you just kinda figured he'd always be around.

Funny man. Sad to see him pass on.

No fucking way. Is this a joke?

Now he'll never get to see his golf courses for the homeless idea go through.

Fuck golf.

Amber and I had front seat tickets to one of his performances last year. I made a comment to her then that he didn't look so good and might not be around for very much longer... :O

He was still as funny as ever though and put on a great concert.

In case anyone is looking for an article link:

I saw the news just before I came on here. My jaw just dropped when I saw this. I knew he had heart problems. I just can't believe this happened. To one of the funniest comedians ever... I just wish I had the chance to see him perform live.

RIP

Wow, that's really sad. I've heard Carlin before (mostly recordings) and I've always thought he was really good.

Though George Carlin and I might have agreed on like three or four things at most, I always found him to be hysterical and I looked forward to every one of his HBO specials. I never got to see him in person though... :(

I'll keep him in my address book for about six more weeks, then BAM!, that motherfucker's deleted!

Tis a sad thing to see such a comedic genius pass on. He shall be remembered for his innate ability to make us laugh.

*sigh* Oh wow, the world loses a comedic legend. Seriously, totally out of left field - but, as Trevelyan pointed out, he's one of those people that you could just never imagine actually dying.

I feel young or exiled or something... I've never even heard of George Carlin. :unhappy:

Do a YouTube search for some of his comedy videos. You will like it. I could listen to him for hours... actually I have.

Actually, here is one of my favorite routines: State Prison Farms (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YaExrlI1kb4) (No, it's not a Rick Roll.)
